We’re so proud of creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for our guests and everyone on our team, including our dedicated tasting associates and seasonal staff, play a vital role in making Intrigue such a special place.
Roger Wong
Winemaker
Roger transitioned from a career in geography and mapping to winemaking in 1995, joining the BC wine industry during Tinhorn Creek Vineyard’s launch.
Over the years, he honed skills in farming, winemaking, and wine judging, eventually becoming the winemaker at Pinot Reach Cellars (now Tantalus Vineyards) in 1998, where he fell in love with Riesling. This passion inspired his first brand, Focus, dedicated to the varietal. In 2005, Roger joined Gray Monk Cellars to oversee their sparkling and red wine programs, where he met Geri Davis. Together, they founded Intrigue Wines in 2008.
By 2019, Roger shifted to Intrigue full-time to manage vineyard operations and winemaking. Outside work, he enjoys skiing, kayaking, hiking, and biking in the Okanagan with his wife Jillian and their boys.
Hanna dyl
Assistant Winemaker
Hanna was born and raised in Niagara, Ontario, where she developed an interest in plant biology while earning a degree in Environmental Sciences at Guelph University. Her curiosity about winemaking led her to explore the field further, ultimately pursuing a degree in Oenology through the CCOVI at Brock University to deepen her knowledge of the science of wine.
After completing three harvests in Ontario, Hanna sought to expand her experience and gain a broader perspective on Canadian wine. This desire inspired a move to British Columbia, where her fascination with the differences in climatology and physiology across the country grew even stronger. Captivated by the stunning landscape, she worked in both the vineyard and the cellar before finding her place at Intrigue Wines.
A creative and nature-loving soul, Hanna has a deep appreciation for art, lakes, and mountains. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, skiing, and camping.
Katie cataldi
Wineshop Co-Manager
Katie brings warmth and passion to the Intrigue Wines family, where she has been a key part of the team since 2013. Originally from the UK, she and her family fell in love with the vibrant lifestyle of the Okanagan and never looked back.
Katie radiates warmth, ensuring each visitor feels akin to family while nurturing unity among our team. Her enthusiasm for wine, food, and connecting with people is at the heart of her role as Wine Shop Manager.
When she’s not sharing her love of wine at the winery, you’ll find her embracing the great outdoors—whether mountain biking, snowboarding, or horseback riding. Katie’s adventurous spirit and welcoming energy make every visit to Intrigue Wines unforgettable!
Arden Brown
Wine Shop Co-Manager
Born and raised in the Okanagan, Arden has always loved the mix of nature, creativity, and community that makes this region special. With a Fine Arts degree and a passion for all things handmade, she sees wine as more than just a drink—it’s a craft, a story, and a way to bring people together.
After spending time bartending in the industry and working in retail for over 10 years, Arden developed a deep appreciation for hospitality, customer service, and the art of creating memorable experiences.
When she’s not at the shop, you’ll find her soaking up the best of the Okanagan lifestyle—snowboarding in the winter, playing soccer in the summer, and raising her family in the same beautiful place she grew up.
Federico
Vineyard Coordinator
With over 12 years at Intrigue Wines, Federico is the heart of our vineyard. Each year, he travels from Mexico to lead our vineyard team, ensuring the vines are nurtured with care and dedication.
His deep understanding of the land and commitment to sustainable practices bring out the best in every harvest, crafting wines that reflect the beauty of our terroir.
Beyond the vineyard, Federico is a skilled gardener with a natural touch for making things grow. His easy-going nature and warm spirit make him a joy to work with, fostering a sense of teamwork and appreciation among the crew.
kIM dORCAS
Social Club Coordinator
Kim’s career started in the hospitality industry, first, as a bartender in a lively Irish Pub to working her way on to hotel management. This industry presented her with the ability to live in some of the most desirable locations in BC. With a focus on food and beverage operations, her responsibilities included creating wine lists to pair nicely with restaurant menus, organizing various wine events and overseeing liquor store operations. Learning about the wine industry in BC became a passion.
Joining the Intrigue Wines Team in 2019 as Sales Rep on Vancouver Island, Kim returned to the sunny Okanagan in 2023. Now, overseeing the Intrigue Social Club, she also works in the Wine Shop and enjoys the camaraderie of the amazing Intrigue Wines Team. E-biking, hiking, golfing and quality time with friends are a few of the things she enjoys.
Nancy St. John
Okanagan Sales Representative
Meet Nancy, our beloved sales representative at Intrigue Wines! With a background of over 30 years in hospitality and sales, including two decades in Whistler, Nancy joined our team in 2012.
Nancy’s warm personality and genuine passion has allowed her to nurture significant partnerships across the wine industry and contribute profoundly to Intrigue’s growth and presence in the region.
Nancy is an avid enthusiast of the Okanagan lifestyle, enjoying its superb food and wine, as well as outdoor activities like golf, skiing, and biking on the Rail Trail.
Ashley Green
Marketing Coordinator
Ashley Green is the creative spark behind Intrigue Wines’ marketing, blending her love for photography, storytelling, and, of course, wine! Originally from Alberta, she packed up for the Okanagan in 2021, chasing sunshine & adventure with a goal to expand her branding photography business to the wine industry.
Everything clicked when she joined Intrigue in 2022, where she now handles everything from social media and copywriting to ads and web design.
When she’s not bringing brands to life, she’s out teaching Zumba, paddleboarding, biking or hanging out with her dogs, chickens, and ducks at her disco themed coop.
We’re all about letting the grapes tell their story and the land work its quiet magic. Every bottle we craft is rooted in care and curiosity, made to spark connection and bring a little intrigue to your glass.
