Lake Country & Oyama
Intrigue Wines’ 10-acre estate vineyard in Lake Country, BC, lies beside our wine shop, with the crush pad, production site, and the home of owners Ross and Geri Davis situated at the top of the property. Nearby, our Oyama vineyards, over-looking Wood Lake on the farm of Roger and Jillian Wong, enrich the character of our wines with their unique terroir. These two sites come together to create wines that truly embody the essence of Lake Country.
Sustainability is at the heart of what we do at Intrigue Wines. We know the land we farm is a gift, and our vineyard and cellar teams work hard to treat it with the respect it deserves. Farming comes with its share of hurdles—changing weather, evolving climates—but we’re lucky to have an incredible team that adapts, innovates, and always rises to the occasion. It’s thanks to their hard work and creativity that we can continue crafting wines we’re truly proud of, season after season.
Varietals We Produce
Intrigue Wines is deeply rooted in tradition, with Riesling taking center stage in both the Davis and Wong vineyards. This noble varietal, renowned for its resilience and complexity, is a natural fit for our German-inspired winemaking approach— some of our original cuttings even came from Mosel, Germany.
Complementing our Riesling plantings, the Davis vineyard also grows Pinot Gris and a touch of Kerner, while the Wong vineyard nurtures a bit of Muscat. Together, these varietals reflect the elegance and depth of our wines, embodying the essence of Okanagan terroir.
Winemaking Philosophy
As a boutique winery, our winemaking style is both tentative and innovative. We nurture our wines when needed while staying open-minded and allowing them to develop naturally, reflecting the unique characteristics of our vineyard. We cherish the social ritual of wine and believe it is best enjoyed in good company, which is why our Social series is crafted to spark conversation and bring people together.
